FIELD: physics.

SUBSTANCE: invention can be used for tunable diode lasers with external resonators that provide lasing in one longitudinal mode. Diode laser with an external resonator contains a laser diode, a collimating lens, an interference filter and a focusing lens, a deaf reflecting mirror, successively mounted on the optical axis, as well as an output reflecting mirror mounted behind the collimating lens and providing the output of optical radiation at an angle to a single optical axis in the form of an axially symmetric light beam. Output reflecting mirror can be made in the form of a rectangular prism with bases in the form of isosceles triangles with an obtuse angle at the apex, and the reflecting surface is its front side surface bounded by the bases of the isosceles triangles. Length of the reflecting surface exceeds the short size of the laser diode light beam, the width of the reflecting surface is equal to the short size of the laser diode light beam divided by the cosine of the angle of incidence of the light beam on the output reflecting mirror.

EFFECT: increased output power by reducing losses and simplifying the design and tuning of the laser.
