SUBSTANCE: method of measuring or determining motion characteristics of an object or an object and a ball by detecting changes in one or more groups of at least three interacting beams lying on the motion path of the object or motion paths of the object and/or ball. The object used is the edge or projected edge of the impact surface used for hitting the ball. Two angles or ends of the object are detected or measured. At least two beams in a group are successively changed through at least one angle or end. At least three beams in a group are successively changed. Each angle or end is separately detected or measured when it changes beam in a group, and the object is separately detected or measured when the object retains motion characteristics related to hitting the ball in order to measure motion characteristics of the object or the object and ball.
EFFECT: use of the invention enables accurate measurement of vital motion characteristics of the surface of a club or ball.
