FIELD: process engineering.
SUBSTANCE: razor blade cutting edge is produced from strip material with cutting edge arranged longitudinally. In compliance with first version, longitudinal cutting edge section is constricted. Thickness of said section is reduced to be less than that of strip material adjoining said cutting edge. Said strip material is transformed into razor blade with cutting edges. Constricted section makes at least 30% of cutting edge zone. In compliance with second version, cutting edge zone is deformed by at least one roll to produce skewed surface. Said surface is located on at least 30% of cutting edge width.
EFFECT: reduced consumption of strip material and sharpening time, higher sharpening speed, longer life and higher efficiency.
