SUBSTANCE: present invention is related to method of nonwoven material manufacturing and to nonwoven material, which is produced by specified method. Method for manufacturing of spinneret and/or carding nonwoven layer, including the following subsequent operations: placement of at least one layer (T₁) of fibres or microfibres of spinneret and/or carding nonwoven type on suitable support S; treatment of layer T₁ so that its thickness is increased by passage of T₁ layer through thickening device, which comprises two rollers and at least one surface, which is equipped with ribs, having height of more than 1mm, free head with contact surface for fibres or microfibres, having extension of less than 0.80 mm². At the same time specified ribs are distributed so that they cover less than 14% of at least one specified surface.

EFFECT: produced nonwoven material has improved softness and thickness.
