SUBSTANCE: invention relates to apparatus for rating documents after search. The rating system can determine information saturation of each document after search. The rating system groups search result documents based on their connectedness in the sense that they are devoted to the same subjects. The rating system rates documents so as to guarantee that documents of the highest rating can include at least one document which touches each subject, i.e. one document from each group. The rating system selects a document from each group which has the highest information saturation among documents in the group. When documents are presented to the user in the rating order, the user will most likely find on the first page of the search results documents touching different subjects and not only one popular subject.
