FIELD: physics.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to equipment for shielding from electric and magnetic fields and radio-waves and can be used in microwave ovens, high-voltage and high-frequency devices, television and radio engineering installations. The protective shield consists of optically transparent plates with glass on the side facing the electromagnetic field source made in form of cells formed when projections intersect with semi-cylindrical surfaces. The diametre of each projection D=1-3 mm and the side of each cell a=(1-5)D mm. On the projections there is a layer in form of a grid made from electrically conducting paint. The optically transparent plate and grid are joined by a coating film with formation of cavities filled with air with relative moisture of 80-100%. The grid is earthed through a cable.
EFFECT: up to 90% - 99 % increase in efficiency of protecting of a person from adverse electromagnetic field effects while maintaining degree of optical transparency of 80-90%.
