FIELD: agriculture.
SUBSTANCE: peat is first treated with 0.5-5.0% aqueous solution of ammonia for 30 minutes under cavitation effect in rotor cavitation device with a frequency of rotor rotation of 3000 rpm, and then in the same device is oxidised with a hydrogen peroxide in amount from 5 to 20% from weight of absolutely dry peat for 15-60 minutes at the temperature of 60 °C and hydraulic module 2.
EFFECT: cavitation treatment of peat in presence of oxidant and aqueous ammonia solution results in process intensification, reduction of temperature and increased content of nitrogen in dry residue of liquid phase, which improves quality of produced fertiliser.
