FIELD: agriculture.
SUBSTANCE: method includes treatment of peat with an aqueous solution of alkali or ammonia. Treatment is carried out at the concentration from 0.5 to 1.0 mole/l during 5-10 minutes at the temperature of 10÷60°C and hydromodulus of 25÷200 under conditions of cavitation exposure in a rotor cavitation device. Rotor frequency of rotation is 3000 rpm. Liquid phase is separated. Humic acids are extracted from the liquid phase when acidified with a mineral acid up to pH 2.
EFFECT: invention will make it possible to intensify the process, to reduce duration of peat processing, to increase product yield.
