FIELD: chemistry.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to a method of producing cyclic 1,3-diketones which are carbonylated on position 2, having formula I in which Y denotes (Q1),
where A4 denotes CRa1 or N-(O)P, A1 denotes CR1R2, A2 denotes (CR3R4)n, A3 denotes CR5R6, Ra1, Ra2, Ra3, Ra4, Ra5, R1, R2, R3, R4, R5, R6, p, n assume values given in the formula of invention, involving a) reacting the corresponding compound of formula II with a bromine or chlorine source to obtain a compound of formula III in which X denotes chlorine or bromine; b) reacting the formula III compound with water to obtain a compound of formula IV , c) converting the formula IV compound using a compound of formula V M+-O-C(O)-Y, in which M denotes a hydrogen cation or an alkali metal ion, an alkali-earth metal ion or an ammonium ion, into a compound of formula VI , and d) treating the formula VI compound with a cyanide source in the presence of a base.
EFFECT: method enables production of cyclic diketones with high output and good quality using a simple reaction and at a low cost.
