FIELD: machine building.
SUBSTANCE: invention refers to motor transport industry and pertains design of automatic step-by-step planetary gear boxes (AGB) used in automatic transmissions of vehicles. The automatic step-by-step gear box consists of a planetary system corresponding to a multi-flow differential mechanism, driver (5) of which with three pairs of linked two-crown satellites is common for the first, second and third planetary rows. Driver (5), crown gear (6) of the first planetary row, crown gear (7) of the second planetary row and sun central gear (4) of the third planetary row are correspondingly connected with casing (10) of the gear box by means of friction brakes (12, 11, 13, 14). Crown gear (8) is an output link of the gear box.
EFFECT: additional planetary rows in kinematic design of multi-flow differential mechanism facilitate implementing various versions of design which enhance range of variation of transmission ratio, improve traction-dynamic and fuel-consuming characteristics due to increased number of transmission to 8-12 within the range, increase efficiency of gear box, and expand types of vehicles for equipping them with said gear box.
