FIELD: measurement equipment.

SUBSTANCE: invention refers to non-destructive inspection with eddy current method and can be used for measurement of thicknesses of various materials and their coatings. Device includes eddy current transformer converter with ferrite core and measurement and compensation excitation windings, which is located in common housing with all the components of eddy current metre, field generator of eddy current transformer converter, phase detector, controller equipped with interface, the first and the second amplifier.

EFFECT: improving measurement accuracy owing to transfer of all the elements of eddy current metre to one and the same housing with a sensing element.
