SUBSTANCE: invention relates to data transmission and can be used to transmit data from downhole sensors in oil and gas production industry. The system for transmitting electrical signals has a modulator, a demodulator and a variable signal transmission channel. The demodulator can receive an input parametre and encode it in a varying signal with repeating rising and falling fronts, as well as send a reference signal with known duration before sending the information signal. The demodulator can determine duration of the reference signal and the information signal, calculate calibration error of the system from duration of the reference signal, record this error and subtract it from subsequent information signals.

EFFECT: higher quality of transmission channel in the acceptable bandpass with suppression of the effect of electrical interference.
