SUBSTANCE: in method of optimal assessment of rotation speed they measure current values of motor stator currents and voltages, direct and indirect calculations of reactive power values are carried out, as well as proportional-integral transformation on the basis of minimisation of quality criterion, determined by two previously saved values of rotation speed and difference of values of direct and indirect calculations of reactive power. System that implements the method comprises measuring unit (MU), coordinates transformation unit (CTU), reactive power direct (RPDCU) and indirect (RPICU) calculation units, assessment calculation unit (ACU), assessment parametres optimisation unit (APOU), the first delay unit (DU1), the second delay unit (DU2).

EFFECT: improved accuracy of asynchronous motor rotation frequency.
