FIELD: explosives.
SUBSTANCE: protection device comprises obstacle made of two layers installed around highly explosive object one after another and comprising fragments of absorbers having a shape of pyramids or prisms, the second layer fragments arranged with radial displacement relative to fragments of the first layer and with gap between layers. Fragments-absorbers of the first and second layers are arranged on power metal frames 9, which are rigidly joined to each other. Each fragment is made of its own metal frame with plates arranged on its outer surface along with gas flow direction. Inside frame there is an absorbing element that consists of porous material, with density of not more than 0.2 g/cm3 and multilayer packet of wire nets of various dimension type arranged on top of it. As plates are installed, gap is provided between them and multilayer packet, and holes are arranged in bottom of fragments-absorbers, which communicate to air gap for exhaust of gas flows, at the same time height of plates, distance between them and value of air gap are selected as based on the following ratios: 1.1l≤h≤≤1.2l, 1.1s≤l≤1.2s, where h is height of plates; l is distance between plates; S is value of air gap.
EFFECT: invention makes it possible to increase safety, due to absorption of hazardous substances and weakening of impact wave effect, near highly explosive objects in emergency conditions.
