FIELD: blasting.

SUBSTANCE: explosion-proof chamber comprises a cylindrical metal body made of a central part and two covers with damping devices fixed to each other with flanges, and a protective splinter-proof module. The module is installed coaxially on the inner surface of the central part of the body with a gap, the minimum value of which exceeds the value of its deformation. In the module cavity there is a loading element for an explosive device. The central part of the body comprises two coaxially arranged pipes separated with a gap and sealed with flanges at the ends, and each cover is made as all-metal with a bottom of convex shape. The protective splinter-proof module is made in the form of a hollow layered cylindrical insert with flanges resting against the inner surface of the body, each layer of which is separated with a filler. Each damping device is made in the form of a metal meshed block.

EFFECT: explosion-proof chamber makes it possible to repeatedly to confine products of emergency or authorised explosion of a highly explosive object in its inner cavity, providing for higher bearing capacity and reliability.
