METHOD OF PREPARING BIOLOGICALLY ACTIVE PRODUCT OF RAW VELVET ANTLERS Russian patent published in 2010 - IPC A61K35/32 

FIELD: medicine.

SUBSTANCE: invention concerns medicine and veterinary science, more exactly maral, Manchurian deer, reindeer velvet antlers technology for making a biologically active powder. There is offered the method which involves cleaning the raw frozen antlers from mechanical pollution, washing, drying at room temperature and simultaneous defrosting to be crushed to particles of size 100 mcm. The crushed antlers are mixed with water in the ratio 1:5. The mixture is homogenised within 5 minutes, extracted during 4 hours at 90-93°C, cooled to 40°C, with following enzymatic hydrolysis with added papain of activity 30 thous. units. After hydrolysis completed, hydrolysate is centrifuged and filtered; filtrate is kept for 30 minutes at 70°C and dried at 45-50°C in vacuum 0.9 atm.

EFFECT: invention provides preparing the high-quality biologically active product of raw antlers due to optimised technological process, particularly by intensifying fermentation process, faster drying due to reduced amount of water in hydrolysate with using an enzyme more suitable for industrial processing of velvet antlers.
