FIELD: technological processes.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to metal forming and can be used to produce large-sized semi-finished products from aluminium and magnesium alloys applied, for instance in aerospace and shipbuilding industries. Device for pressing comprises inlet horizontal chamber, at least one intermediate chamber and outlet horizontal chamber. Axis of intermediate chamber arranged behind inlet chamber is arranged at the angle of 10-40° to axis of mentioned chamber. Each further intermediate chamber has axis arranged at the angle of 100-160° to axis of previous intermediate chamber. Intermediate chambers are arranged with equal cross sections.
EFFECT: improved plastic and strength characteristics of semi-finished products and accordingly improved quality and durability of items.
