FIELD: performing operations.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to a combined method of helical rolling with back pressure. Heated billet is deformed in rolling stand consisting of three conical rolls rotating in one direction, axes of which are located at an angle to each other and to rolling axis. Billet is calibrated in calibrating matrix arranged at rolls outlet and having one truncated cone-shaped channel with inlet diameter D1 to outlet diameter D2 ratio varying from 1.03 to 1.05. Ultrasonic vibrations are applied to the calibrating matrix.
EFFECT: as a result, the billet geometry is improved, as well as the force required for passage of the calibrating matrix is reduced at a constant level of grain refinement in the centre and on the billet surface.
