FIELD: chemistry.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to construction materials, specifically to compositions and methods of preparing complex additives used in making concrete mixtures, concrete and mortar. The complex additive contains a functionally active additive - water soluble ether of polycarbon-chain oligomers - polycarboxylate with 18-65 functional links in the molecular chain and a component of the following group: water soluble sodium or calcium salts of sulphonated products of polycondensation of naphthalene with formaldehyde - polynaphthalene sulphonates or the same salts of products of polycondensation of melamine with formaldehyde - polymelamine sulphonates, or the same salts of products of polycondensation of wastes from production of phenol based on cumilphenol and dimmers of α-methylstyrene - plasticiser FOK or their binary or ternary mixtures with ratio of components polycarboxylate: polynaphthalene sulphonates: plasticiser FOK equal to (0.25-1):1 and (0.25-1):1:1 respectively, a directional effect modifier from the following group: a mixture of water soluble salts of alkali and alkali-earth metals of polyacrylic acids or a mixture of ballast salts from desulphurisation of coke and by-product process gases, or technical lignosulphonates, or sodium or calcium formate or water soluble acetates of alkali and alkali-earth metals, or wood saponified resin or neutralised air-entraining resin, or a water-repellent agent based on organosilicon compounds or a synthetic foaming agent or on a protein base or their binary or ternary mixtures with mass ratio of components equal to 1:1 or 1:1:1 respectively with the following ratio of the functionally active additive and directional effect modifier, in wt %: functionally active additive 15-55, directional effect modifier 45-85. The method of preparing the complex additive involves putting components into a mixer at temperature below +5°C, subsequently raising ambient temperature to 20-35 °C and stirring for 15-30 minutes at 75-150 rpm of the stirring device. The method of preparing a concrete mixture using the complex additive involves putting the said additive into a mixer and mixing it with the rest of the components of the concrete mixture. The additive is fed into the mixture together with 1/10 - 1/5 portion of hardening water after premixing components of the concrete mixture with the main 4/5 - 9/10 portion of water at temperature +5 - +35°C and subsequent mixture of components until formation of a homogeneous moulding mixture which is easy to spread without segregation and water gain.

EFFECT: broader functionalities of the additive, reduced specific consumption of the additive.
