SUBSTANCE: invention relates to locks of passenger car door intended for locking and opening of door by means of electric drive force transfer to locking mechanism, which comprises latch and ratchet. Lock with electric drive of passenger car door comprises opening mechanism with electric drive with pull-in stem and closing mechanism. Closing mechanism comprises ratchet fixed by one of its ends to fixator and latch. Ratchet and latch are fixed in lock body with the possibility of rotation around their axes and with the possibility of interaction to each other. Pull-in stem of electric drive is hingedly connected to latch. Axes of latch and ratchet are arranged at one side of plane, which is perpendicular to axis of door swinging and passing through point of ratchet and fixator engagement in initial moment of their contact.

EFFECT: reduced dimensions of lock by width, which reduces parts protruding in luggage rack, thus improving its consumer properties, and rational use of lock space, which makes it possible for the latch to occupy previously empty place, which was necessary due to structural layout requirements - fixator could not be located closer to door.
