SUBSTANCE: inventions may be used to detect location and motion of complex signals radiation sources with pseudorandom working frequency tuning (PWFT). Direction-finder that implements proposed method of direction-finding comprises fixed antenna with circular radiation pattern, rotary antenna with cardioid radiation pattern, unit of radiation pattern control, the first and second receivers, two high-frequency amplifiers, two mixers, two band filters, two amplitude detectors, division unit, threshold unit, control pulse generator, three keys, frequency metre, memory unit, unit of codes comparison, motor, registration unit, sawtooth voltage generator, heterodyne, metre of time intervals and generator of frequency-time matrix, which are connected to each other in a certain manner.

EFFECT: expansion of functionality by detection of complex signals radiation source with pseudorandom tuning of working frequency.
