FIELD: transport.
SUBSTANCE: grooves are made on the surfaces of propeller screw blades. The grooves are located with displacement in cross-section relative to each other chequerwise or as inclined grid. The grooves are made with undercut and their depth is smoothly decreasing in accordance with blade thickness decrease. In the grooves inserts of material with high damping capabilities are placed. The inserts are made of highly filled composite material, dispersive-reinforced or fibrous on polymeric base.
EFFECT: lowering noise characteristics of propeller screw.
