FIELD: engines and pumps.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to thermal rotary-type engines. Proposed engine comprises stationary housing with grooves and rotor rigidly secured onto shaft. Said rotor represents a wheel with spikes with guide channels for n pairs of different-function vanes. Combustion chambers are arranged between vanes of every pair. One of rotor shafts parts is hollow and has its flange accommodating caliper rigidly fixed thereon. Extension device assembly units and parts are arranged on aforesaid caliper that doubles as a top bearing of the extension device shaft journals. Extension device comprises either crank-rack-gear, or four-link lever-slide mechanisms, and gear-can bush with half-couplings. Extension device shaft and bush have levers with rushers to extend vanes. Extension device and bush shaft splines accommodate double-sided dog-engages constant mesh gears. Each of the latter comes separately and in turn into mesh with half-couplings of gear-cam bush and slide recesses in compliance with operating conditions of locking unit. The latter comprises cam mechanism with drive to axially move toothed couplings. Cam lateral section shape represents n alternating shifted complete phase sine curves with chopped apices directed inward at n=2, 4….
EFFECT: simplified design, higher efficiency and reliability; reduced overall dimensions.
