FIELD: weapons.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to ammunition and can be used to determine optimum time of charge influence initiation for, for example aircraft controlled missiles. Proposed method comprises target detection by scanning the space by two laser beams, registering reflected radiation by two receivers, analysing receiver signals, identifying the target at long range from the charge by one receiver and at medium range from the charge by another receiver. It includes also measuring time interval between first and second identification moments, estimating the rate missile approaches the target between long and medium ranges, scanning the space by third laser beam and target identification at close distance from the target, estimating time interval between second and third identification moments, estimating the rate missile approaches the target between medium and close ranges, determination of missile acceleration between identification moments and generation of blasting time delay depending on target length projection on missile lengthwise axis to be defined from S=V1tt, where V1t is approach rate, m/s, t is the time reflected radiation acts on the input of third photo detector, s.
EFFECT: higher accuracy of charge initiation signal generation.
