FIELD: engines and pumps.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to hardware comprising metal compositions based on titanium, particularly to those made from titanium compositions with particles of titanium boride dispersed therein. In compliance with this invention, micro composite structural material (21) has matrix (22) that contains titanium in amount larger than that of any other chemical element, and dispersion of titanium boride (24, 25) in said matrix (22). At least about 50 % by volume of aforesaid particles (24, 25) feature maximum size making approximately 2 mcm.
EFFECT: improved properties of structural elements, reduced number of defects, higher safety.
