FIELD: process engineering.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to metal forming and can be used in hydro hammers for sheet-metal forming. Hydro hammer comprises guide tubes, platform with cylindrical chambers, lower hammer punch and drop weight representing one-piece platform. Upper hammer pinch is secured on to one-piece platform bottom. Lower hammer punch and platform with chambers are secured to casing pipes, plugged at their bottom and furnished with flanges at their top. Platform cylindrical chambers are filled with compressed air at 0.5 to 25 MPa. Said chambers accommodate plungers with punches at upper part to deform sheet in upper hammer punch. Punch bottom surface rest upon compressed air in cylindrical chambers to deform sheet by compressed air in lower hammer punch.
EFFECT: higher precision of forming, longer life of tooling, reduced vibration.
