FIELD: process engineering.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to hand tools. Proposed jaw spanner comprises handle, holding mechanism and spring. Holding mechanism comprises head, sliding jaws to interact with carrier head that form faces of regular hexahedron and pins. Handle consists of guide handle and cam handle. Head consists of first head made on guide handle end integral with it, and second head made on cam handle end integral with it. First head has radial grooves with their number equal to that of sliding jaws, and arc-like grooves arranged all around and alternating with radial grooves. Second head has skewed slots with their number equal to that of sliding jaws and holes alternating with skewed slots. Starts of skewed slots are located on larger diametre circle while their ends are located on smaller diametre circle. One end of every sliding jaw has face to interact with carrier element head while another end arranged between first and second heads accommodates sliding jaw shaft. Sliding jaw shafts are introduced into first head radial grooves and second head skewed slots. Aforesaid pins are introduced into arc-like grooves of first head. Spring ends are clamped on to guide and cam handles. Pins are rigidly fixed in second head holes.
EFFECT: ease of jaws adjustment, reliable joint with carrier element hexagonal head.
