SPACE MODULE Russian patent published in 2010 - IPC B64G1/22

Abstract RU 2388664 C2

FIELD: transport.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to designs of space modules with weight varying from 100 to 200 kg and intended for producing mini- and micro-satellites placed on artificial satellite orbits as associated pay or by group method. Proposed module comprises load bearing structure (1) representing a right triangular prism. One end face of load bearing structure is covered by hexagonal platform (4) with overall dimensions exceeding those of the structure end face. Said platform represents a flat three-layer panel with load bearing layers and filler. Radiators (10) representing rectangular three-layer panels with cellular filler are arranged parallel to sidewalls of load bearing structure (1). Platform and radiators are furnished with heat tubes to release excess heat into space. A part of heat tubes is laud inside the platform cellular filler. Power supplies can represent folding solar battery panels. Onboard hardware units (16) are arranged between load bearing structure (1) and end face of platform (4). Star trackers (17) are mounted on face side of platform (4). Communication hardware (23) is arranged on module outer elements.

EFFECT: structural base for producing mini- and micro-satellites that allows release of excess heat into space in wide range of space apparatus orientation relative to Earth and Sun.
