INSTRUMENT COMPARTMENT OF SPACECRAFT Russian patent published in 2017 - IPC B64G1/22 B64G1/50

Abstract RU 2610850 C1

FIELD: aviation.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to a temperature-controlled on-board equipment of spacecraft (SC). The compartment contains a hexagonal platform (multilayer board) on which there are fuel elements of hardware blocks on both sides. The compartment bearing structure is based on heat pipes (HP). Its upper end repeats the platform loop. The elements of the hardware that do not require refrigeration are installed on the power frame structure attached to the lower end of the bearing structure in the form of equilateral triangle. The system of temperature control incorporates two systems: one is for fuel elements that do not require refrigeration, the other - for those requiring refrigeration. The first has a cylindrical heater-radiator and HPs connected with it. The other includes low temperature HPs, abutting with a low temperature HP to remove heat into space. All HPs may contact thermally with the said fuel elements.

EFFECT: optimization of spacecraft layout, increase of strength and structure rigidity during ground operations and remove, as well as increase of heat resistance when working in orbit.
