FIELD: information technology.
SUBSTANCE: to determine location of a device being returned to use, the given device is inquired several times from one side of the signal line. The insulator of one device already known in the topology is opened, that way dividing the signal line into two branches. Further, the branch in which the device being returned to use is located is determined. These operations continue until the exact location of the device being returned to use is found, which is preferably made from an alarm sensor or actuating element.
EFFECT: fast and easy determination of location of a device being returned to use.
