FIELD: electric engineering.
SUBSTANCE: arc-quenching device comprises body, contacts and metal plates of arc-quenching grid made of elastic material. Contacts are arranged as integral with plates with the possibility of plates bending and contacts touch under action of contact force, and as it is removed, it becomes possible to open contacts due to elasticity of plates. Electric arcs moving to plates are ignited between open contacts. Quenching of electric arcs is carried out as all contacts are opened.
EFFECT: reduction of arc-quenching device dimensions and its simplification.
