FIELD: information technology.

SUBSTANCE: each data frame carried information belonging to one of several data streams. In the information flow control unit there is an estimation unit for determining, for each data stream at the end of first periods of time having a predefined first length, an estimation which is total number of received data frames, which were erroneous during the first period of time. The reference value calculation unit is connected to the estimation unit for calculating transmission capacity based on the estimated reference value, which determines the current maximum permissible transmission capacity for transmission from a data transmission unit to a data reception unit. The first unit can be a wireless network controller, and the second can be a base radio station. Data frames can be sent over a HS-DSCH through an Iub interface.

EFFECT: efficient algorithm for controlling information flow.
