SUBSTANCE: disclosed is user equipment for transmitting data in a communication system comprising a set of user equipment comprising: a transceiver for receiving at least one data packet over a communication channel, wherein the data packet comprises an identifier, and a processor for determining from the identifier whether the said user equipment is one of the a subset of user equipment, wherein the processor determines if the first identifier is a subset of user equipment when the identifier matches a first value if the communication channel is a common channel or a second value if the communication channel is a dedicated channel.
