FIELD: medicine.
SUBSTANCE: method refers to medicine, namely to X-ray diagnostics, anaesthesiology and resuscitation and can be used for imaging of functioning subcutaneous limb veins while treating thrombophlebitis or when choosing a vein region best suited for catheterisation, and also for vein imaging in early pregnancy. It involves circular pressure of a limb above a chosen region to arrest blood outflow from an examined region, heating of a distal part of the limb by dipping into water heated up to +42°C to develop stable local thermal hyperaemia, cooling of the chosen region by applying an ice bubble to develop stable cold hyperaemia, termination of thermal exposure, positioning and fixation of the limb to make visual examination possible, examination of its condition on a infrared imager screen within infra-red radiation spectrum range to ensure imaging of the thermally contrasted veins while being filled with warm blood after termination of mechanical squeezing of the limb.
EFFECT: method provides safe noncontact technique for venegram of a cooled surface after warm blood inflow.
