FIELD: process engineering.
SUBSTANCE: proposed invention relates to production of construction materials, namely gravel, broken stone, expanded clay and can be used directly at drilling sites. Proposed method comprises thermal treatment of drilling mud, i.e. drying at 300°C to 500°C for 8 to 20 min to forming moisture content of 28% to 32%, forming granules, semi-finished products, drying said granules to moisture content of 10% to 15% and high-rate annealing at 950°C to 1200°C for 30 to 50 min.
EFFECT: purification and recovery of drilling mud, production of construction materials with various properties, ie high-density or porous materials.
