FIELD: process engineering.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to method and device of welding multi-layer packing material by magnetic hysteresis. Invention covers the device to weld first multi-layer packing material, a laminate, to second packing laminate. At least first laminate comprises one layer of magnetisable particles and layer to be welded thereto. Proposed device comprises appliance to apply alternating magnetic field to laminates in welding zone so that the main direction of magnetic field lines is, in fact, parallel to the plane that forms first multi-layer packing material. Thus, reduced are losses from magnetic hysteresis in laminate containing magnetisable particles and heat generation is ensured for melting layer to be welded in welding zone. Proposed device comprises also appliance to apply sealing pressure to first and second laminates to press and weld them together in welding zone.
EFFECT: welding packing laminates in fast-operation packing machine, ruling out overheating of laminates, reduced magnetic field power and higher system efficiency.
