FIELD: transport.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to aircraft engineering, particularly to device to secure variable-pitch propeller screw made from plastic, carbon fiber-reinforced plastic and metal materials. Proposed device comprises barrel with cylinder section and hub sleeve. Propeller blade shank is arranged inside said barrel and secured thereto. Proposed device incorporates insert glued into said propeller blade shank. Said barrel is attached to propeller blade shank by bolt arranged along barrel lengthwise axis. Bolt has tapered head buried in hole arranged on the barrel horizontal surface. Hole top part features hexagonal shape and changes into round through hole, said top part being arranged on bolt head side along bolt lengthwise axis. Three semi-circular recesses are made on bolt face edges. Three through threaded holes crossing bolt head and barrel horizontal surface are made through said recesses at bolt head-to-barrel surface joint. Said through threaded holes changes into three dead threaded holes made at joint between insert outer round surface and propeller blade shank inner round surface. Three bolts are screwed into through and dead threaded holes.
EFFECT: higher strength and reliability and longer life.
