FIELD: physics.
SUBSTANCE: magnetostrictive two-coordinate tiltmetre has a magnetostrictive displacement transducer which has a permanent magnet and an acoustic absorber with same-type electroacoustic transducers installed nearby. Leads of the electroacoustic transducers are connected through reading amplifiers to signal inputs of a coding and computation unit. The control input of the coding and computation unit is connected to the output of a request generator and through a recording amplifier to a circular acoustic line. The input of the request generator is connected to a control bus and first and second data outputs of the coding and computation unit are connected to code and YZ deviation angle sign buses. The magnetostrictive displacement transducer is made in form of a spherical housing from non-magnetic material filled to the centre of its volume with working fluid, on the surface of which there is a free floating element. The permanent magnet is ring shaped and is placed on the said floating element on the diametre of the magnetostrictive displacement transducer. There is also a first and a second C-shaped acoustic lines on which electroacoustic transducers are fitted, a second acoustic absorber, as well as a third C-shaped acoustic line and galvanically connected to the acoustic absorber an angle of 90°. There is a first and a second acoustic absorber at the ohmic contacts of the third C-shaped acoustic line. Near the last acoustic absorber on the acoustic line there is a third electroacoustic transducer which is connected to the similar signal input of the coding and computation unit through the third reading amplifier. The third and fourth data pins of the electroacoustic transducer are connected to angle and YX deviation sign buses respectively. All three C-shaped acoustic lines are mounted on top of the spherical housing of the magnetostrictive displacement transducer.
