FIELD: measurement technology, measurement and control of level of liquid and loose media in open and closed containers. SUBSTANCE: ultrasonic level gauge includes rectilinear magnetostriction acoustic line, signal electroacoustic converter, float element with polarizer, wave reflector, record amplifier, reading amplifier, coding and computation unit. Coding and computation unit is connected to acoustic line through recording amplifier. Another output of coding and computing unit is connected through reading amplifier to leadsout of signal electroacoustic converter. Signal electroacoustic converter is fixed at reference distance from end of acoustic line and is connected to leads-out of reading amplifier. Wave reflector is made fast to the other end of acoustic line. Float element with polarizer is positioned between signal electroacoustic converter and wave reflector. EFFECT: enhanced resolution and conversion reliability. 3 dwg
