FIELD: chemistry.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to treatment of household or industrial waste water. Nitrification/denitrification of incoming water 51 is carried out in a biological reactor 52 without division into blocks containing aerated biomass. Simultaneously, concentration of dissolved ammonia is continuously measured at the inlet and at the outlet and the values are compared with the given value of ammonia concentration at the outlet. The speed of air is calculated from these data in a computer and the air is fed into the biological reactor 52.
EFFECT: invention enables more efficient and accurate control of the water treatment process.
