FIELD: metallurgy.
SUBSTANCE: furnace is equipped with shunt magnetic conductors with winding. Also a crucible consists of an upper ceramic cup-shaped section and lower cylinder section out of refractory material. A m-phase inductor alternates phases to create draft forces in a melt metal bath. Forces are directed upward along a wall of the cylinder section of the crucible. The vertical magnetic three-fold conductors are of L-shape. The upper cup-shaped section of the crucible rests on these conductors. Under the cup of the crucible there are installed the shunt magnetic conductors with winding connected accordingly to three-phase circuit of electric feed. They generate electro-magnetic field facilitating axial rotation of metal in the upper cup-shaped part of the crucible. A charging platform and heat insulating cover with a mechanism of transfer are installed on the throat of the cup-shaped section of the crucible in plane of furnace turn or in plane perpendicular to furnace turn plane.
EFFECT: raised efficiency of furnaces of axial rotation of metal and developing multi-functional melting installation for processing poly-metallic charge containing oxides in cyclic, continuous and semi-continuous modes of operation.
