FIELD: chemistry, metal melting.
SUBSTANCE: invention concerns induction heating equipment and can be applied in metal and alloy melting. Side surface of cylindrical crucible of a multiphase induction crucible furnace is symbolically divided into vertical sectors along the outer crucible perimeter, with sides of each sector parallel to the crucible symmetry axis. Each phase winding is a single-layer concentric rectangular coil, so that one such phase winding is placed in each vertical sector in such pattern, that two sides (lower and upper) of each rectangular loop in each m-phase inductor winding are perpendicular to the crucible symmetry axis, while the other two sides (left and right) of the same loop are parallel to the crucible symmetry axis. All phase windings of multiphase inductor are positioned along the outer crucible perimeter at one level against of the upper and lower crucible parts and form horizontal winding row with height equal to the height of heated metal, at the same time forming a symmetric multiphase coil inductor.
EFFECT: manufacturing of symmetric multiphase induction furnace independent of blend type, positioning against crucible height, heating and blend melting rate.
