FIELD: weapons and ammunition.
SUBSTANCE: proposed method to protect armored vehicles by cushioning system against nuclear explosion shockwave comprises detecting nuclear explosion gamma-radiation, closing exhaust fans valves in body and turret, air drawer, dust exhaust and air intake channels, cutting in filter-absorber and cutting off turret and engine electric drive. Nuclear explosion gamma radiation detected by measuring board, the latter generates signal to be transmitted to actuator that opens the valve arranged in pipeline discharging fluid from hydraulic cylinder into tank. Then fluid is forced out of hydraulic cylinder by vehicle body gravity to down vehicle body onto ground.
EFFECT: reduced ground clearance and probability of vehicle turn over.
