FIELD: machine building.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to devices for increasing tightness of inhabited compartment of crew from impact of nuclear weapons. Device in the form of a wedge of the gate closing the barrel channel is additionally equipped with a locking mechanism, a spring and a protective cover and a return mechanism. When the signal is transmitted via electric wires from the radiation sensor to the actuator, the latter acts by the rod on the locking mechanism engaged with the spring, under the force of which when it is opened, a protective cover is closed, which provides covering the muzzle section of the barrel of the weapon. Return of protective cover into initial position is provided by return mechanism.
EFFECT: reduced probability of failure of the armoured vehicle crew.
