SUBSTANCE: invention refers to medicine, namely to ophthalmology. After preparing the surgical site and retrobulbar or intravenous multicomponent balanced anesthesia free access to rectus and retroequatorial space. The muscles is separated into two equal parts in thickness in the longitudinal direction on 10-20 mm from the point of attachment to the sclera, the lower part of foliated muscles is cut off and removed.
EFFECT: method allows to increase mobility of eyes in the direction of counteraction to hypertonic rectus, to reduce or eliminate the deviation and ghosting.
