SUBSTANCE: invention relates to metallurgy, particularly to continuous casting. Charge includes soda ash, quartz sand as a source of silicon oxides, lime of calcium carbonate as a source of calcium oxides, at the following component ratio, wt %: soda ash 7-25, quartz sand 30-55, the rest is lime or calcium carbonate.
EFFECT: capability of slag-forming mix for assimilation of aluminium oxides floating up from steel is enhanced.
