FIELD: process engineering.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to wood working, particularly to production of acetylated wood for sleepers. Proposed method comprises simultaneous drying, impregnating and compacting the wood in oily preservative. Note that during all cycles wood is subjected to pulsed ultrasound 20 kHz- 4 kW-field with ultrasound 2.5-3 min-wide pulses alternating with 6-6.5 min-long pauses.
EFFECT: stable dimensions of acetylated wood for sleepers.
