FIELD: chemistry.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to technology of making ceramics and specifically to methods of making ceramic products such as construction and facing bricks. The method of making double-colour ceramic bricks involves preparation of a clay raw mixture, addition of an additive, moulding, drying and roasting the products. The clay raw mixture is prepared with addition of graphite-containing rocks which are wastes from treatment of graphite ore with less than 2% graphite content with nanosized particles, in the following ratio of components in wt %: clay material - 45-90; graphite-containing rocks - 10-55.
EFFECT: reduced shrinkage of the bricks, improved decorative properties of products while retaining strength properties and widening of the mineral-raw material base for making ceramic bricks.
