FIELD: production of building materials and products.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to ceramic wall materials and can be used in the production of ceramic bricks and stones. To obtain ceramic bricks, the sludge from the gas cleaning of the converter production and the clay from the Verkhovoye deposit are dried to a minimum moisture content and their further separate grinding to a particle size of less than 50 microns. The raw mass is prepared by mixing these components and water in a ratio of 80 wt.% clay, 20 wt.% gas cleaning sludge and water in an amount of 10 wt.% of the total mass of the dry component of the mixture. Next, the finished mixture is moulded by a semi-dry method at a moulding pressure of 23±2 MPa. The moulded samples are dried for 24 hours in drying chambers at a temperature of 100-140°C, fired in chamber kilns with a gradual rise in temperature at a rate of not more than 100°C/h up to 1050°C for 2 h until complete sintering. After firing, gradual cooling naturally to room temperature follows.
EFFECT: production of bricks with compressive strength of 32.2 MPa, density of 1.93 g/cm3, water absorption of 7.5%, and frost resistance of over 50 cycles.
