SUBSTANCE: invention relates to polymer compositions and their use. The composition contains polythioether polymer with two mercatan ring groups having formula (I): HS-R₁-S-[R₂-S-R₁-S]_n-H, (I), where each R₁ is the same and has formula: (II) -[[(-CH₂-)_a-X-]_b-(CH₂)_c-]-, (ll), where X is O or S, a ranges from 2 to 6, b ranges from 1 to 5, c ranges from 2 to 10, n is equal to or greater than 1, R₂ is a diene residue different from an ether divinyl residue, triene residue or an organic compound residue having a terminal leaving group, and a polymer mixture containing polysulphide and polythioether. A sealing compound contains the said composition and a hardener. The sealing compound is put onto a surface in order to seal holes.

EFFECT: invention enables preparation of a composition with low value of Tg, which is liquid at room temperature, has good operating characteristics, which meets sealing compound requirements for use in the aerospace industry.
